Delta Zeta's aren't just about campus involvement, scholarship, and service. Each semester we also take part in a variety of fun events such as Homecoming, Greek Week, Date Party, and a Formal dance.
Greek Week/Homecoming
Greek Week
Another fun filled week for Delta Zeta is Greek Week. This is a week full of events that the Greek Organizations compete against each other in. Some of the events are flag football, kickball, a dance contest, and Greek Olympics. The Olympics usually involve a truck push, tug of war, a three-legged race, and an egg toss! It's fun to take part and to watch!
Parents Weekend
UW-Stout hosts a “Parents Weekend” and Greek Week always falls on that same weekend. This gives parents an opportunity to watch some of the competitive games on Saturday. We also hold a luncheon for the parents. Our chapter introduces themselves and gets to know the wonderful people who raised such amazing girls! This gives parents a glimpse of several things our sorority is involved in and distinguishes all the leaders within our sorority.
Social Events with Other Greeks
We get together with the other sororities and fraternities throughout the school year so that the members of Delta Zeta can get to know other members of the Greek organizations on campus. Some activities we have done are hayrides, barbeques, tailgating at different sports events, roller-skating, bowling and more
Homecoming
During Homecoming, we pair up with a fraternity and take part in campus activities throughout the week. Some of the activities include Soapbox Derby Racing, Penny Wars, Couch-A-Thon, and more. We also select a member to run for Homecoming Queen against other organizations. This is always a fun filled exciting week.
Formal & Date Party
Delta Zeta has two annual events a year- a Formal in the Fall, and a Date Party in the Spring. Girls typically bring dates to these events, which allows everyone to let loose and have fun together. It also gives everyone a chance to meet new people in a fun social setting. Our formals give us a chance to get all dressed up in formal attire and enjoy a fun night out including dinner followed by dancing. Date Party is the same type of event except for the theme of the event isn’t formal, it is a specific theme that changes every year.
